I got so bored of my plain bedroom so decided to upgrade it – I’m no decorator but did my best with high street bargains
A WOMAN who got bored of her plain bedroom has shown how she upgraded it on a budget – and on her own.
Georgia took to TikTok to a share a video of the room transformation, as she wrote over the top: “Got bored of my bedroom so come do it up with me.”
After putting dust sheets down and over her bed, she painted the white wall at the back of the room an olive green colour.
She then tried out the infamous IKEA mirror wall hack – getting frames and mirror insets from IKEA and adding them in a grid on her wall.
Georgia also used stick on floorboards to cover the pine ones beneath, going for a charcoal grey colour instead.
And to finish things off she added some grey accessories – including cushions and a throw on the bed and a cute grey chair in the corner.
“I’m no decorator but I think I’ve done a pretty good job,” she captioned her video.
She also revealed where she’d got the majority of her things in a comment, writing: “Chair, Onbuy, flooring, Onbuy, chunky blanket, Dunelm, cushions, Dusk.”
“Looks amaze. Just need big curtains that puddle on the floor and side lamps,” one person suggested in the comments section.
To which Georgia replied: “Thank you hun, yes that’s what I was thinking.
“Just can’t find a lamp that I like.”
“Ooooh my kinda bedroom,” another added.
“I might do the mirror thing. Where did you put your desk though?”
“I have another room for my wardrobe and desk but managed to have a clear out too!” Georgia responded.
“Best tip for the mirror is to get the frames to stick on the wall.”
She also revealed in response to other comments that she’d got the rug from an online shop called Woolly Fluff, and had used the Chinese Evergreen paint from Homebase for the back well.
