I did a Skims bikini haul – I loved the color of the blue crop top but my girls were ‘hanging loose’
A FASHION influencer has shared her swimwear haul from Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand Skims.
The content creator modeled the looks for her subscribers, including a blue crop top that offered little support.
YouTuber, Hope (@HangwithHopescope) explained: “I’ve had mixed experiences with Skims in the past but overall it’s been a pretty positive experience so let’s see how this collection compares.”
For her first look of the video, the fashion fan modeled the $52 swim T-shirt in the color turquoise.
“It’s really cute, it’s everything I had hoped it would be,” she told viewers.
Hope continued: “There’s just not much to it, there’s nothing holding everything in place. I guess I’m just meant to hang loose inside this top.
“I love the fit, love the color, and it’s a really nice material. I don’t feel like I need to worry about it being see through at all, which is good,” she said.
“It’s cute though if you want a little extra coverage,” the content creator added.
Hope also shared her thoughts on the $36 swim dipped tie bottoms, also in the color turquoise.
“Love these bottoms. They have a lot more coverage in the front than the metallic Skims bikini bottoms so love that. This is a good little swimsuit, I totally see myself wearing it, 100 percent,” she said.
Next, the Skims fan showed her subscribers the $38 swim micro scoop bikini top in the color turquoise.
“I’m excited about this one because it’s a bandeau top but it has some shape to it,” she explained.
The YouTuber continued: “Normally, I don’t gravitate towards bandeaus because they do nothing for me, they just kind of flatten everything.”
Hope added: “I like it, it’s a good laying around in the sun kind of swim top not a very functional one probably.”
However, the influencer pointed out: “It’s so basic that you could find something like this at Target or Forever 21 for like $15 so it’s hard for me to say that this is worth it.”
Hope also tried on the $88 swim scoop neck one-piece in the color Gunmetal.
“I hate the scoop neck, it’s just doing nothing for me. I think it looks terrible. It’s pulling down everything, it feels like one of those Borat speedos,” she joked.
The YouTuber concluded: “I have a long torso and I feel like it made my torso just disappear. This one is a hard no for me.”
Next, Hope shared her thoughts on the $88 swim strapless monokini in the color neon green.
“Surprisingly, I don’t hate this one as much as I thought I would. It’s actually pretty comfy,” she told viewers.
The influencer continued: “The swimsuit style is kind of giving Kylie Swim but the better version. The fabric is quality, the straps are adjustable, the top has silicone lining so the top doesn’t slide down.”
Hope explained: “While I didn’t hate this I just don’t see myself reaching for it very often therefore I just can’t bring myself to pay $88 for it.”
Next, the YouTuber modeled the $54 swim long sleeve shrug in the color neon green.
“This is my favorite one by far. I love this top although it is really scary, it just cuts really far down, which freaks me out a little bit,” she shared.
Hope paired the top with the $38 swim mid waist bottoms, also in the color neon green.
“These bottoms, I love. These are definitely my favorite. These are phenomenal, I would get these in multiple colors because I like the fit so much,” she said.
Finally, the YouTuber tried on the $88 swim T-shirt dress in the color neon green.
“I love this, I’m obsessed with this. The color, the length, the fit, it’s so comfy,” she said.
Hope’s subscribers took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the haul.
“I love seeing real bodies in her swimwear, I feel everything KK produces is so overly filtered I love seeing Hope showing us how it looks in real life!” one viewer said.
Another follower wrote: “To see an influencer with the same body type as me makes me feel so good love your confidence super inspiring.”
“Literally incredible to see a skims review like this, thanks for being so relatable,” commented a third person.
