In 2017, opioid drug overdoses, heroin poisoning, and fentanyl poisoning were recognized as a critical national problem in the US. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 100 people died every day from opioid overdoses in America in 2018. But judging by the latest reports, other drugs should not be discounted.
