URC State Of Play | Race For Play-Offs
There are two rounds of URC action remaining in the regular season with Munster among a number of clubs battling for a place in the play-offs and also Champions Cup qualification.
Munster have won seven of our last nine URC games, picking up 35 points of a possible 45.
Six of those seven victories were secured with a try bonus-point to move up to fifth place in the table.
Graham Rowntree’s side have two huge games in South Africa coming up against defending champions Stormers in Cape Town this Saturday and against Sharks again in Durban for the final game of the regular season on Saturday, April 22. Both games kick-off at 5.15pm Irish time/6.15pm local.
Teams who finish in the top eight will qualify for the URC quarter-finals that take place on the weekend of May 5/6/7.
Eight clubs from the URC will qualify for next season’s Champions Cup. See the full qualification criteria on the URC website here. Scroll to the bottom of the page for Champions Cup qualification details.
