China's Foreign Ministry has said that its workforce of close to 900 million people will provide a strong impetus for development, as India becomes the most populous nation, with 1.43 billion people. China has a population of 1.42 billion. While the size of a workforce is important, China maintains that the quality of workers is equally significant.
