Three Man Utd loanees expected to be sold this summer - View
Manchester United are likely to sell multiple players during the summer transfer window as they look to boost their spending on new signings.
This could begin with offloading some outcasts and here are three loanees who are widely expected to be sold at the end of the campaign.
Dean Henderson
Henderson joined Nottingham Forest on loan last summer after failing to become United’s number one.
The 26-year-old publicly criticised the Red Devils soon after. He said that he was treated like a ‘caged animal‘ and wasted 12 months of his career sitting on the bench.
After such comments, it is most likely that United will offload him for the best price. Henderson may also prefer the option as he has no desire to deputise for David de Gea.
Alex Telles
Telles was loaned out to Sevilla at the start of the campaign following the arrival of Tyrell Malacia.
The left-back had a decent first half to the season with the Andalusian outfit but has fallen out-of-favour this year. He has struggled for regular minutes since his return from a knee injury.
Sevilla do not plan to purchase Telles in the summer but United are expected to sell him nonetheless. They have Luke Shaw, Malacia and an emerging talent in Alvaro Fernandez for the left-back role.
Eric Bailly
Bailly was impressive for the Red Devils during their pre-season tour but the Ivorian made it clear that he wanted to leave the club in order to play regular first-team football.
He signed for Marseille on loan with an obligation to buy if he plays a certain number of games. With just 19 appearances and 763 minutes thus far, Les Phoceens clearly have no plans to keep him.
The former Villarreal man will return to Old Trafford in the summer. It is likely that he will be offloaded on a permanent basis this time around. United will have to cut their losses on Telles and Bailly.
