I’m plus-size – you don’t have to be skinny to be pretty, thick thighs save lives
ONE plus-size woman has bestowed her big confidence onto other women with a similar body shape.
She encouraged her viewers to embrace their thick thighs and forget about “skinny expectations.”
Elle Baez (@elle_baez) put on an elegant get-up in her body-positive TikTok video.
The focus was on her curvy frame as she wiggled in a tight black velvet gown.
Her firm stance mirrored her feelings about plus-size beauty.
“Just a reminder: You do not have to be skinny to be pretty,” Elle proclaimed.
She broke down the sentence slowly so her viewers would grasp her message.
Her face was solemn as she repeated the words once more.
Elle added: “Trust me, you’re enough. Now go dress up and go out. #Thickthighssavelives.”
Over 935 viewers debated Elle’s message and added their thoughts on body expectations.
“You do not have to be fat to be pretty,” one assertive woman commented.
“Honestly, it’s not even about body size at all. You have to be happy with who you are, and naturally, you will be pretty,” one viewer pointed out.
One woman spoke out regarding her feelings as someone who is “skinny” in the area she lives.
“I am skinny, and it’s not the beauty standard here. So, I have to remind myself that I don’t need to be fat to be pretty,” she said.
An honest viewer agreed with Elle and added: “So much easier said than done and think. I can’t seem to get there.”
Elle sent her words of encouragement, making sure she knew she had a supporter.
“I believe in you. It took me a very long time,” she admitted.
An appreciative woman wrote: “Thank you for this.”
