We’re a family of four in a tiny portable home – but it may have even more rooms than YOUR house
A FAMILY of four living in a pint-sized portable home somehow seem to have more room than most people in their stationary houses.
Parents Sabine and Stephan decided to take their two kids on the trip of a lifetime across the US, while living in a pad tiny enough to be towed.
The custom-built property, which the couple affectionately call the Tiny House on Wheels, was their ticket to minimal and mobile living.
They decided to reside in the 350-square-foot home for their extraordinary road trip after being wowed by its storage space.
Sabine, who shares her broods journey on TikTok and YouTube, said they are taking on the “traditional American Dream” with their unique living situation.
Despite many presuming the tiny house is crowded with furniture and littered with possessions, they are drastically mistaken.
Taking social media users on a tour of the tiny house while they were parked up, Sabine showed herself entering through French doors.
She entered the cosy living space, where a blue L-shaped couch dominates the majority of the room.
But the striking seating is worth the space it takes up, as it also doubles as a full-size pull out bed as well as boasting handy storage.
The mum-of-two has also added some homely finishing touches around the room, including plants and cushions.
She then turned the camera to an ergonomic desk that sits in her kitchen-come-lounge area, which can conveniently be adjusted in height.
Transitioning into the cooking space, Sabine explained she had more than enough room to rustle up some tasty grub.
It fits a dishwasher, a microwave, an apartment-sized fridge, as well as a propane gas oven and stove.
Heading into the next spot, the TikToker debuted the bathroom that also functions as a laundry room.
The sleek toilet facilities are joined by a washer and dryer, while a full shower is somehow crammed in the space too.
Sabine then gave her followers a look at the standing master bedroom, which fits a comfy queen-sized bed inside.
She and Stephan also have a TV mounted on the wall as well as dual blackout shades to make it feel more homely.
The mobile ER nurse went on to show off her children’s sleeping situation after climbing up the white and wooden stairs.
To accommodate both her son and daughter Simeon and Sanaa, the parents decided to divide the loft area right down the middle.
A storage unit splits the room in two, partitioning eac child’s space that has been decorated to their taste.
The two youngsters then have further storage at the bottom of their beds to cram their clothes into.
But there is also another loft to take a look inside.
Sabine says this morphs between an office, library, nook, homeschool and hosting space for the family.
The snug hideaway features two large blue chairs, a fluffy cream carpet – and even more storage.
The adventurous brood tow their tiny house on the back of their car and set up camp wherever they feel like it.
They told TikTok users the experience has brought them “financial freedom”, with the added bonus of simple travel.
Sabine says they are “living the tiny dream” in their marvelous yet mini mobile home and wouldn’t change it for the world.
