I was fed up of looking at my dull fence so gave it a makeover on the cheap using buys from Poundland – I’m so impressed
A WOMAN has revealed that she was fed up of looking at her plain fence and so decided to give it a makeover on a budget.
The DIY fan explained that she headed to Poundland and used cheap artificial ivy to bring some colour to her fence.
Took to TikTok to show off the fence overhaul, the woman posted a clip under the username @stylingmyhouse_.
The thrifty shopper and DIY fan said: “How I gave the garden fence a makeover using trellis from Poundland.”
In the clip, we saw the DIY fan in Poundland, as she picked up some bags of artificial ivy.
Alongside the video, an audio played that said: “How many of those did you take?”.
Following this, the audio responded: “I took nine”, as the shopper stocked up on the Poundland buy.
The woman then nabbed some artificial ivy trellis, for just £3 a pack.
The artificial trellis was six foot by one foot and once she arrived back home, the TikTok user got to work on her fence transformation.
While the gardening whizz didn’t demonstrate how she attached the trellis to her fence, she did show the trellis once opened up out of the pack, to give her followers an idea of just how big it is.
A quick transition later, the social media user proudly shared the finished result.
Not only did the artificial ivy add some depth to her once dull fence, but she also hung up fairy lights too.
As well as this, she put down two large rugs on the decking and had a three-piece seating area.
She decorated the chairs with funky cushions and arranged a variety of potted plants around the area.
She also put a cool bean bag chair on the floor and placed a table in the middle of the seating area, which she decorated with a faux plant and a candle, in a wicker basket.
The woman’s clip has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly racked up 67,000 views.
It has amassed 415 likes and 21 shares.
Social media users were open-mouthed at the cheap makeover and were quick to express this in the comments.
