I’m A Celeb fans slam South Africa show task as ‘too hard’ saying it’s ‘unfair’
I’M A Celebrity fans have slammed one of the South Africa show tasks as “too hard,” while saying it’s “unfair.”
On Monday as the new series got started, Helen’s first trial was taking on the terrifying Newton’s Cradle, which saw her, Phil Tufnell and Fatima Whitbread having to cross a ravine in typical I’m A Celeb style.
The trio had to cross via giant red balls suspended over 2000 feet in the air.
Fatima went first and it was her job to connect the balls together to make a bridge so Phil and Helen could follow and help get the stars.
But fans have said the challenge was too difficult for the celebs, who all failed to get a star.
One person wrote online: “That Wipeout balls in the sky task was really hard! The stars were too far away.”
A second said: “Two thirds of the camp did a trial and the other third did total wipeout extreme edition. Way too hard lol.”
A third person added: “That last trial was too hard the star was too far away.”
And a fourth said: “The star looked too far away…..that was so hard. Full credit to all 3 of them for giving it a good go.”
Helen appeared to freak out before she took on the task.
She confessed she was “nervous” and told Phil she had a tight chest as he coached her on her breathing.
Many fans accused the ex-Corrie star of being overdramatic for the cameras.
Helen has since taken to social media telling fans she was “so scared” during last night’s high-stakes trial and her emotions were real.
She shared a clip of her watching the trial alongside her daughter Matilda, seven and said: “Mummy was so scared.
“I did it because I didn’t want you to say ‘oh mummy didn’t do it’.
“But honestly darling I was absolutely scared – I didn’t faint but I did it because I knew Matilda would want to watch me do this.
“I did it but I really didn’t want to.”
She captioned the clip: “I absolutely hate heights.”
