Fashion influencer gets slammed after insisting leggings make you look classy – with others saying they’re so tacky
A MIDSIZE fashion influencer was brutally slammed online after claiming leggings can instantly elevate any outfit.
Long sparkly acrylics, fake designer bags and bright neon thongs – just some of the biggest no-nos in fashion often considered to be tacky.
Another item to usually enter the list is a pair of leggings – however, one style whizz, Laura Ann, from the US, reckoned otherwise.
The self-titled ”Midsize Queen” often shares outfit ideas on how to look rich on a tight budget, with wearing chic loafers, blazers and wide leg bottoms.
However, her latest advice caused quite the debate on TikTok, after Laura admitted she believed flimsy leggings could be classed as elegant.
”Nothing a black leggings can’t fix,” the style guru told people on social media.
One such outfit often worn by chic babes, the US-based influencer thought, would be pairing black leggings with a sporty vest, a purse, as well as sunnies and beach slippers.
Feeling a bit chilly? Another option in Laura’s eyes was going for faux leather leggings styled with white trainers, a sporty cap, cosy sweatshirt and a mini backpack.
Laura, who posts under the username @midsize.laura, also advised her fans on the platform to style thin leggings with a basic long-sleeve striped top.
But despite the recommendations, Laura’s advice was soon slammed, as hundreds insisted she was wrong.
”In Europe leggings are considered cheap,” one person laughed.
Another was just as horrified by the styling tips, writing: ”Legins for sure no!!!!!!! Is the cheapest what can have girls on [sic].”

”In Europe we mostly wear that at the gym or at home to be comfy. But to walk around like that? Never unless you wanna be stared at,” someone else added.
”I have 20 pairs I must be a millionaire,” a fourth joked.
”I would never consider woman in leggings rich , she a lazy broke woman for me,” another critic penned.
