Kalvin Phillips transfer news odds: Liverpool favourites to sign £35m Man City ace, Newcastle and Tottenham to challenge
LIVERPOOL are leading contenders to sign Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
That’s according to bookmakers Betfair, who’ve adjusted their betting markets following claims Jurgen Klopp wants him at Anfield next season.

The Reds weren’t previously thought to be in the running with rivals Leeds the standout favourites to re-sign the England international.
But things have changed.
The Daily Star claim Liverpool boss Klopp has identified Phillips as a cheaper alternative to Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, who is considered out of their price range.
Liverpool are understandably eager to bolster their midfield ranks with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho on the decline and Naby Keita’s contract set to expire.
The Daily Star claim Klopp’s side are prepared to pay upwards of £35million for the 27-year-old.
Newcastle are a close second in the betting market at 2/1, ahead of Tottenham (4/1), Wolves (8/1) and Leeds (16/1).

It’s unclear what the future holds for Phillips.
The midfielder signed a six-year deal with Manchester City in July 2022, who paid £42million plus a further £3m in performance-related bonuses.
But things haven’t exactly gone to plan.
He’s managed just 16 appearances during an injury-plagued campaign, totalling 405 minutes of action for the reigning champions.
He’s never started a Premier League game for City, and his 102 minutes of top-flight action mean they’ve paid around £400,000 per league minute to this point.
Phillips was deemed fit enough to join England’s World Cup campaign in November, but manager Pep Guardiola claimed he was “overweight” and “not in the right condition” to train.
Some reports suggest that City have no intention of offloading Phillips, who is determined to break into Pep Guardiola’s XI on a regular basis.
But others claim he fears that a lack of competitive minutes will see him lose his place for England ahead of next year’s European Championships.
