I put so much effort into fake tanning before a date – I even wore surgical gloves but still had a ‘disaster’ fail
A SINGLE-AND-READY-TO-MINGLE woman has revealed her self-tanning disaster while trying to get ready for a hot date.
A little body glow can be a confidence booster, but it had the opposite effect on her.
TikToker Mudstar (@muduslarkous) had no shame in admitting the amount of “effort” she puts into her looks before a date.
“Riddle me this, why don’t you?” she began in the video.
Rather than appear glammed up for her rendezvous that evening, the blonde looked bedtime ready with her hair in a messy bun and dawning an oversized, worn-out T-shirt.
“I’m aware I look questionable. I’m fake tanning, I’ve got rosemary oil in my hair.
“I’m trying to make myself look like a woman who has got my life in control.”
Aware of the orange streaks that sometimes appear on women’s fingers and palms after getting a fake tan, she took measured steps to prevent that from happening.
“I put Vaseline on my hands. I’ve got a surgical glove that I wear underneath. I got a new tanning mitt because my old one ripped. I washed my hands after I fake tanned,” she explained.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.
The woman flashed her hands to reveal that both sides were a blotchy shade of murky brown.
Horrified by the results, she said: “Fake tan queens of TikTok, help me! Why? Why? Why?
“Again: Vaseline, surgical glove, new tanning mitt, washed my hands. I scrubbed my hands! So, am I just doomed?”
With the impending date on her mind, she asked followers for guidance, captioning the clip with #helpme and #anyadvice?
Alas, there were no words of wisdom to be shared, simply ones of shock.
“HOW,” one person commented.
“Oh baby,” another laughed, to which she replied, “I’m a disaster.”
