According to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officials, from April to July every year, Naxals usually have a tactical counter-offensive campaign (TCOC) and Naxal masters take decisions depending on the states and the local conditions. As per the Naxal calendar, they are more aggressive in terms of operations and also start a massive recruitment drive during these months. Since it is the spring season, it is easy for Naxals to contact locals for support as they hardly get any work.
