Horror fans ‘afraid to go to sleep’ after watching terrifying movie on Amazon Prime saying ‘I screamed out loud’
HORROR film fans have been left “afraid to go to sleep” after watching a terrifying movie on Amazon Prime.
Viewers have admitted they “screamed out loud” watching the movie, which tells the story of a group of amateur ghost hunters.
Gonjiam Haunted Asylum, which was originally released in 2018 and later uploaded to the streaming site, has been leaving horror film fans in shock.
The Korean film, which brought in a mammoth £16million at the box office on its release, tells the story of a crew behind a horror series.
The group travel to an abandoned asylum for a live broadcast to their fans online – pretending to be haunted to get more views.
But after faking the hauntings, things start to go wrong, and quickly.
As they move deeper inside the nightmarish old building, they find an intensive care unit which has never been explored before.
The group try their best to escape the room, and stay far away, but the film sees them sucked back to the spot to be tormented by spirits.
Taking to social media, fans revealed they had been left terrified by the film – and “couldn’t sleep” after watching it.
One said of the movie: “Me watching this random movie not thinking it was going to keep me up at night. It took me all the way out.”
“Now I’m afraid to sleep,” a second said, while a third admitted: “It still haunts me in my dreams.”
A fourth chimed in: “I regret watching this, I have not been this scared from a horror movie since I was a f***ing child.”
“I screamed out loud,” a fifth said, while a sixth concluded: “This movie traumatised me the most.”
