One dead following collision in Fremont

FREMONT — A person seriously injured in a crash Tuesday night has died from the injuries, police said.

Authorities did not identify the person immediately early Thursday. The crash happened in the area of Peralta Road and Camden Street about 9:50 p.m.

Officers who responded found the injured person in the roadway, Fremont police Sgt. Kim Macdonald said. Medics tended to the person at the scene, and an ambulance rushed the person to a hospital.

The person died there.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Police did not announce an arrest.
