I thought getting a sweet tattoo of my favourite cartoon character would be perfect but now it looks like a smudgy mess
A WOMAN has revealed that she thought it would be a good idea to get a sweet tattoo of her favourite cartoon character – Betty Boop.
But while Mia was initially over the moon with the intricate inking on her arm, things quickly changed.
Taking to TikTok to show off her tattoo, Mia, who posts under the username @swagmoneyyyy, explained that her tattoo measured around the same size as a coin.
The inking boasted incredible detailing of Betty Boop’s iconic features.
The tattoo highlighted her signature curls and trademark hoop earrings, while tears dramatically poured from her eyes.
Mia told social media users that she thought the fine line inking “was a great idea” at the time – until it completely healed.
The video then jumped to two years later, showing the demise of the Betty Boop design.
The inking had drastically faded, smudging the shading work together.
The young woman wrote: “This tattoo used to be so cute but now I want it removed.
“I’m so sad. Moral of the story is, don’t get tiny tattoos with a lot of details.”
However, Mia insisted that her artist wasn’t to blame for the botched inking.
She said: “All other tattoos have a healthy amount of blur that most tattoos have and I think they look great.
“I think the reason the Betty Boop one is so f***ed up is because I got a really tiny tattoo that is really dark and shaded.
“And I asked to put it on a squishy part and it just moves so much.
“I also have tattoos from earlier that year that are the same size and detailed and they still look good, but this one is just s**t.”
Mia’s clip has clearly shocked many, as it has quickly gone viral and has amassed a whopping 4.1million views.
It has 427.6k likes, 1,278 comments and 2,420 shares.
One person said: “Betty Droop!”
Another added: “All that fading in just two years? I’ve been thinking about getting a micro tattoo, but maybe not.”
A third commented: “Damn sorry that’s done horribly! Definitely shouldn’t have healed like that.”
Someone else noted: “This is why I hate tiny tattoos, especially detailed ones. I think they are adorable but in the long run it’s a waste of money and tattoo real estate.”
