Girl, 8, was 'stabbed in the heart by killer who left her to die in dark basement'

Seven-year-old Nikki Allan was dragged by the ankles down the stairs of the old Exchange building in Sunderland on October 7, 1992, having been attacked on the first floor, suffering multiple knife wounds, a court heard
