Q&A: Adam Lefkoe on the Will Levis-Reddit drama, his worst bad beats and his approach to the NFL Draft
Going on his 10th year hosting the B/R Gridiron NFL Draft Night show, Adam Lefkoe knows a smokescreen when he sees one.
So even as Will Levis’ odds to become the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft began to move Monday after a Reddit user claimed the Panthers were drafting him, Lefkoe knew better than to join the circus.
A bettor himself, it’s not that Lefkoe is against a little action, he just knows it’s an added element that changes the dynamic of how we view the draft.
“Every single year, the week of the draft, there is information and news that comes out that completely changes people’s perception. The difference is, this year, betting is now something that is talked about mainstream,” Lefkoe said Tuesday in an interview with FTW. “So, instead of, ‘I’m hearing Will Levis buzz and nothing happens about it.’ Now, ‘I’m hearing Will Levis’ friend is telling people that Will Levis is going to go No. 1 and his odds are going from +4000 to +400.'”
That movement doesn’t change who Lefkoe thinks the top pick will be. However, if it does happen, it’ll make for quite the shocker on his draft show, which has produced several viral moments over the years and features Micah Parsons, Calais Campbell, Kirk Cousins and AJ Brown this year.

It’s a busy season for the veteran journalist who also hosts TNT’s Tuesday edition of Inside the NBA. Lefkoe gave us his thoughts on all of it, from who’s going to the NBA Finals to whether people should be buying stock in the New York Jets after the Aaron Rodgers trade.
