Good Morning Britain secrets exposed in tell-all behind-the-scenes book
GOOD Morning Britain’s have been exposed in a tell-all behind-the-scenes book.
Telly On Toast: The Crazy Life of a Breakfast TV Producer, written by Michelle Porter, has opened up about her career working on a selection of popular programmes over the years.
Michelle has 30 years experience in telly production, as well as 22 years in live television.
She has worked as deputy head of features for ITV’s Good Morning Britain, the senior producer features for Daybreak and senior producer for GMTV.
Loose Women star Andrea McLean, who has worked with Michelle over the years, attended the book’s launch last night and shared a snap of the front cover on Instagram.
Andrea said: “It’s a book about all the ‘behind the scenes stuff’ that makes telly a crazy, exhilarating place to work!
“What a great evening as well, catching up with faces from my past from my weather girl days on breakfast TV.
“Producers, directors, camera men, sound men, assistants, make up artists, green room supervisors, production coordinators and many more! It was brilliant. Good times, great memories, incredible people.
“I was lucky enough to be included in this book in the chapter entitled ‘Helping Mathapelo’.”
Good Morning Britain hit our screens in 2014.
The show is broadcast every day between 6 and 9am weekdays on ITV.
The main presenters are Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard, Charlotte Hawkins, Richard Madeley, Ed Balls and Martin Lewis.
