Bomb Attack Kills Counter-Terrorism Officials in Balochistan
A counter-terrorism officer was killed in an explosion on Thursday in Khuzdar, Central Balochistan province of Pakistan.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Fahad Khosa stated that the event occurred close to the Jhalawan Medical College on the National Highway.
Khosa claimed that the official, Sharbat Khan Umrani, was travelling to his place of employment when the explosion occurred. He said a bomb had been installed in the CTD official’s car.
Recently, security has deteriorated in Pakistan, particularly in the Balochistan province.
Since November last year, Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) have intensified their attack on Pakistani officials, the army, ordinary people and foreigners.
Meanwhile, the Government of Pakistan announced an all-out operation against the militants to wipe out all the terror outlets in the country.
On the other hand, the government of Pakistan repeatedly called on the Taliban authorities in Afghanistan to dismantle the terror hideout in the country.
However, the Taliban administration in Kabul rejected all allegations and reiterated their commitment that they would not allow any individual or group to attack any neighbouring countries from Afghanistan.
