From playing pickleball like Robbie Williams to Kim Kardashian’s swim suit, these are hottest trends for summer 2023
THIS summer’s hottest trend is all set to be pickleball.
It’s not the latest spicy food fad – but one of the world’s fast-growing sports and, as we revealed this week, Robbie Williams and wife Ayda Field are both big fans.
Experts predict the game will be one of 2023’s biggest trends – along with beers for dogs and long-sleeved bikinis.
Laura Stott reveals what will be hot this summer.
Pickleball
THE racquet sport — a combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis — is growing in popularity.
Courts are popping up all over the country and the game is suitable for all ages and it can be played indoors or out over a net, using lightweight paddle bats and a perforated ball.

Cheesy Espresso Martinis
THE favourite after-dinner cocktail has been given a taste makeover.
Drinks expert Helena Nicklin from Amazon Prime’s hit show The Three Drinkers says flavoured twists on the coffee tipple will be a big trend.
Variations include fruity Banana-tinis, hazelnut-latte Martini’s or for cheese lovers, a Parmesan Espresso Martini, garnished with a grating of fromage.
Sunset Eyeshadow
A SUNSET painted on to your upper lids using a palette of reds, oranges, pinks and golds is the hot make-up trend, according to cosmetic giants Clarins.
Celebs including Cara Delevingne, Charlize Theron and Serena Gomez all love the sunset look.
Doggy Beers
THAT “hair of the dog” pint in the beer garden won’t be for you . . . it’ll be for your mutt.
Brewers have produced a range of canine craft ales with Bottom Sniffer Dog Beer and Brewski’s Brewdog cans sure to get your dog drooling.
But remember the beers are designed especially for our four-legged friends and are all 0% ABV, so don’t be tempted to share your own alcoholic drink with your pooch.
Barbie Blooms
HOT pink will be the colour for summer — thanks to Margot Robbie’s Barbie movie, which will be in cinemas in July.
Pretty pink bouquets are the floral fashion taking hold right now, according to florists Bloom and Wild.
Expect to see hot, pastel and vibrant pink stalks including tulips, roses, hydrangeas, peonies and stocks filling vases and at weddings.
Long Sleeve Swimsuits
FORGET flashing the flesh, this summer’s beach trend is more about covering up.
Sporty, surfing inspired long sleeved swimsuits, and long-sleeved crop tops paired with bikini bottoms are the seaside swim suits to be seen in.
Eva Longoria and Kim Kardashian have embraced the covered up style – but watch out for some interesting tan lines.
