Britain rescues 900 people from Sudan in race to evacuate before end of ceasefire

A 72-hour ceasefire, agreed by the military and a rival paramilitary force after more than a week of horrific violence and hundreds of deaths, has provided a vital window for the evacuation of the expat community within Sudan.
