Another one in the record books Saturday, April 22, 2023

We put another one in the record books, but it wasn’t our best night. Car count was a little bit lighter than we’d like to see. We played it for more crowd interactivity, which isn’t a bad thing. If people go home and say they had a good time, that’s what matters.

Wylie got out there and interviewed every driver before each Main Event, and the crowd seemed into it. He also took a poll in crowd cheers to see who the Best Appearing Car winners would be. I had gotten trophies for the winners, and the crowd chose them. I’m all for more interactivity.

I want us to be able to set up a table again at the fair, so I need to find out what we’re doing there. I think it would be good to have the race track represented again, but key people I was working with last year are gone. I don’t know what’s been arranged, but I’ll step up if I can. We’ve got to keep spreading the word.

We have a big one this Saturday night, the NARC 410 Sprint.Cars. Fastest cars on dirt, and we haven’t seen the group in a while. Hoping for some big things with them, and there are other nice things that night. Then, we come back on Wednesday with the opening Central California Clash race, featuring all three IMCA classes.

We have some good things on the schedule, so I’m hoping for the best. We keep trying. That’s all we can do. Whether is getting nicer, so that should help.
