I’m a dog owner – my pet hair cleaning hack rids carpets of fur and only costs £2 at B&M
A DOG owner has revealed a pet hair cleaning hack that rids carpets of fur and costs just £2.
The savvy animal lover took to social media to let fans in on her secret tool that can be purchased dirt cheap from B&M.
TikToker kernowmaiden posted the short clip, which informed viewers on how to clean their carpets thoroughly.
The footage began with the culprit dog and the floor covered in fur.
The woman said: “So I have run through with the hoover everywhere already but there is always still puppy fur left.
“This is an old trick that I saw on Facebook years ago and you get a squeegee, mine is well used as you can see, and you give the carpet a good scrape once you’ve hoovered.
“I love doing this actually because it is a really good workout, the other thing it does is fluff up your carpet to make it look really lovely.”
The woman continued to squeegee across the carpet in sections, scraping the remaining hair into columns.
She then collected the remaining clumps of hair and showed her new fresh carpet.
She said: “This was even after the Dyson hoover, but puppy fur just gets everywhere.
“And there we have it, fluff balls everywhere, it’s amazing how much comes up.”
The video has more than 500 views with pet owners commenting with their own struggles.
“Oh my lord,” a TikTok user said.
“I’ve got three dogs and honestly it’s like King Canute trying to keep back the tide,” another added.
The squeegee the woman referenced can be bought at B&M stores across the UK for just £2.
Another influencer has revealed an easy way to collect dog hair.
The hack requires a regular bristle broom and a roll of wide packing tape.
Simply pull out a strip of tape the length of the bottom of your broom.
Stick one half along the bottom of the bristles, with the bottom half of the tape forming a sticky barrier underneath.
When you sweep, the broom will catch most of the dog hair – but anything that slips past will stick to the tape.
