Stacey Solomon admits husband Joe Swash forgot he was on I’m A Celebrity and hasn’t watched series
STACEY Solomon has revealed that she and husband Joe Swash had forgotten that he had taken part on the All Star series and have not watched any episodes yet.
Joe, 41, and Dean Gaffney became the latest celebrities to arrive in the South African camp.
Loose Women star Stacey, 33, said the series was filmed so long ago that they had “completely forgotten” about his appearance.
Stacey told fans on social media: “I’m going to sort myself out and then get ready to watch Joe in the jungle.
“We’re going to sit and watch it in bed.
“I’ll be honest with you, both of us even forgot he was in it, so he missed it yesterday, but we’re going to catch up today.
“He filmed it so long ago and we’ve both got baby brain right now and we completely forgot about it, so we’re going to catch up tonight and then I’m going to go straight to sleep after the jungle.”
It comes after fans lashed out at Joe after he got their backs up following his behaviour towards campmate Helen Flanagan.
He came under fire from viewers after he picked Janice Dickinson over Helen Flanagan when choosing team members for his new ‘pride’.
The campmates had been told they would be split into two ‘prides’, with pride leaders and newbies Joe and Dean Gaffney taking it in turns to choose their team.
Joe was first to select his, opting for former Olympic athlete Fatima Whitbread, 62. Dean chose Jordan Banjo, 30, first.
The last two standing fell on Joe’s turn, with him opting for US model Janice, 68, over 32-year-old Helen, as he said she ‘scared him more’.
Coronation Street star Helen then looked awkward, before walking over to join Dean’s ‘pride’.
But fans were left cross with their choices, especially with Joe’s decision to shun the mum-of-three at the very last round.
Backing the actress, one tweeted: “That picking was terrible, Joe not picking Helen was was a bit of a d*** move.”
Another added: “Why are people underestimating Helen, she’s way better than Jordan at challenges.”
