The Patna High Court has placed a temporary hold on Bihar's enumeration of castes and economic survey after hearing a petition challenging the survey's validity. The court has reserved judgment on the petition filed by Akhilesh Kumar and others. The division bench of Chief Justice KV Chandran heard from both parties as advocates Ritu Raj, Dinu Kumar and Abhinav Srivastava argued that the survey was not within the jurisdiction of the state government.
