Real Madrid has lost a $440m court case with Abu Dhabi's sovereign investor, Mubadala, regarding a proposed sponsorship of the Spanish soccer club's stadium. Real Madrid had sought the claimed amount from Mubadala, alleging it had failed to honour a deal to sponsor the Santiago Bernabeu stadium for 20 years. However, an arbitral tribunal ruled in favour of Mubadala, stating the sponsorship contract had expired by the time a 2017 agreement was reached which differed from the original plan.
