Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed confidence that his party will “decimate” the BJP in Telangana and other state polls, following the party’s victory in Karnataka. Speaking to a gathering at a dinner event in New York, following visits to Washington and San Francisco, Gandhi said such success was not solely due to the Congress party, but also the Indian people. Apart from Telangana, elections are scheduled later this year for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
