The Indian Railways will pay compensation to all passengers involved in the Odisha train accident, regardless of ticket possession, said Amitabh Sharma, a railway spokesperson. The helpline number 139, manned by senior rail officers, is available for family members to connect to as many people as possible. Ex-gratia has been disbursed to 285 people, and will continue to be paid out promptly. While ex-gratia is being paid at seven locations, there are still around 200 victims who are yet to be identified. Photographs of the victims are available on the South Eastern Railway's website.
