I unblocked my school bully because I thought it was time to move on – but I did not expect what happened next
A WOMAN has revealed that she had the ultimate rom-com love story – after falling in love with her high school bully.
As kids, many of us rolled our eyes as our parents try to convince us that the reason a boy might be picking on us was because he fancied us.
But for Lauren (@laurenenslow), this really was the case.
The TikTokker from Utah, USA, claims that after leaving school, she blocked the boy that bullied her – only to unblock him years later, and then end up marrying him.
Lauren, now 20, said: “Me deciding to unblock my high school bully…”
Holding up her left hand to show a diamond on her ring finger, she added: “*marries him*”.
“Can’t even make this stuff up.”
Her story attracted plenty of attention online, gaining more than 2.1 million likes and 12.3 million views.
In a series of other videos, she goes into more detail about how the pair went from hating each other to falling head over heels in love.
She said: “I hated him when I was 15.
“If you told my 15-year-old self that I ended up marrying him, I never would have believed you.”
She continued: “Thinking about that time I was in high school and I was ranting to my mom and sister in the car about the boy I used to have a crush on bc he was bullying me.
“And when we turned the corner, we saw him walking into a store, so my sister yelled his name out her window, thinking it would be funny.
“But we got into a car accident right as she yelled his name, totaling our car, and when I looked over at him, he had watched the entire thing.”
In the comments, she confirmed this was the moment the pair grew close, becoming friends and then lovers.
The pair tied the knot in a cliff-top ceremony on October 7, 2022, and have been happily married since.
In the comments, TikTokkers shared their reactions, with one writing: “My jaw dropped.”
“What in the enemies-to-lovers story is this,” commented another.
A third put: “I mean they do say that when someone picks on you they like you.”
Lauren responded: “It was true in my case.”
Although not all were convinced, with another adding: “Hmmmm girl I don’t know but if he’s changed I guess it’s ok.”
Lauren replied: “He’s a whole new person hahah.”
“I would never date my bully… trauma,” shared another.
