Simon Cowell apologises as he struggles to speak during Britain’s Got Talent final
SIMON Cowell was left struggling to speak after watching finalist Amy Lou during tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent.
The show fell into silence for a few seconds as Simon was unable to respond to hosts Ant & Dec owing to him having something in his throat.
As Amy finished her stunning performance, the hosts called upon Simon for his feedback.
However, he was left gesturing as he was unable to offer up his thoughts after getting something stuck in his throat.
He stuck his hand against his throat as he looked on open-mouthed.
Clarifying the issue to the double act and Amy on stage, Amanda Holden added: “He’s got something stuck in his throat.”
Eventually, the BGT judge said to the singing hopeful: “Sorry as I’m having trouble speaking, you tell us what this means to you.”
It wasn’t the only shock to hit the BGT stage during the final as it appeared that judge Bruno Tonioli was booed by the watching audience.
The boo-like sound didn’t go unnoticed by viewers at home, with many taking to Twitter to ask if the audience had a reason to heckle the star.
One wrote: “Why are people booing Bruno ?”
Another added: “Is it just me or are the audience booing bruno tonight?”
A third tweeted: “Is it just me that is hearing people booing Bruno? imagine being the only person that’s being booed when there’s a guy only wearing pants on stage.”
Meanwhile a fourth wrote: “Was the audience booing or was I imagining that?”
