Kamala Harris Uses God’s Name to Promote Abortions Up to Birth

It’s hard to imagine anyone being proud to champion the goal of legalizing killing babies in the womb for any reason up to birth.

But that is exactly what Kamala Harris is doing.

This week, Teen Vogue published an interview with Harris and Planned Parenthood abortionist Colleen McNicholas at the White House where they discussed efforts to make abortion on demand legal again in all 50 states.

Reflecting on the upcoming anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson ruling, Harris invoked God’s name to claim that legalizing abortion on demand is a just and moral cause.

“It’s a shame that in this year of our Lord 2023, people are trying to take us back,” she said. “… It’s causing a lot of folks to really reconsider that we have to be vigilant and understand all the ramifications of this and have a federal law that protects reproductive care in all 50 states.”

Abortions occur post-reproduction and killing unborn babies is not health care, but the law that she and President Joe Biden are urging Congress to pass would force states to legalize abortion on demand again.

Nicknamed the Abortion Without Limits Up to Birth Act by pro-life leaders, the so-called Women’s Health Protection Act would force states to legalize abortions for basically any reason up to birth, end bans on sex-selection and taxpayer-funded abortions, and jeopardize laws requiring parental consent for minors, informed consent and conscience protections for pro-life medical professionals.

McNicholas, who joined Harris for the interview, has been open about her radical pro-abortion views for years. In 2019, she told the AP that “EVERY reason to have an abortion is a valid reason,” including for sex selection and because the baby has Down syndrome.

Speaking with the vice president this month, McNicholas complained that some states now have laws that jail abortionists for killing unborn babies in such cases.

Currently, 15 states protect unborn babies by banning all or most abortions, and others are fighting in court to do the same.

Polls consistently show a strong majority of Americans support limits on abortion, including heartbeat laws, parental consent for minors, and bans on late-term abortions and taxpayer funding for abortions. Earlier this year, LifeNews highlighted 25 recent polls that show Harris and other Democrat leaders are extreme and out of touch with most Americans on abortion.

For nearly 50 years under Roe v. Wade, states were forced to allow abortions for any reason up to viability, and more than 64 million unborn babies were aborted. Now, because of Dobbs, 15 states protect unborn babies by banning all or most abortions, and others are fighting in court to do the same. Research from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America estimates roughly 60,000 unborn babies have been saved from abortion so far.
