McFly reveal huge A-list star is a massive fan of their music
ADELE is a secret fan of McFly, and I can reveal she has one particular favourite.
I caught up with the band earlier this week before the launch of their latest album, Power To Play, and they revealed all about their famous admirer, as well as having dad bods nowadays.
Bassist Dougie Poynter said: “Adele likes us.
“She likes Danny’s voice,” and singer Tom Fletcher added: “I met her and she said, ‘I’m more of a Danny girl’. I get it.
“He’s a snoggable male.”
The lads are chuffed that the crème de la crème of the music industry are appreciating them now.
Drummer Harry Judd recalled: “In the early days we were used to people slagging us off, like The Pigeon Detectives.
“F*** you, where are they now? They said it for cool points in NME, but we’ve played with Roger Daltrey and Brian May, so that’s pretty cool.”
As well as the album, McFly have a new single, Where Did All The Guitars Go?, 20 years after they first burst into the charts.
“Since then times have changed – and so have the lads, who concede they don’t get their kit off as much as they used to.
Tom said: “We have dad bods. I think I’ve peaked, I’m on a downward slope now. But if the album hits No1, we’ll get naked then.”
A promise is a promise, guys . . .
