I turned my dull dining room into a Moroccan paradise with budget tiles from Shein & £10 paint, the results are stunning
A DIY fan has revealed how she turned her dining room into a Moroccan paradise with some bargain buys.
Proud homeowners Danielle and Nathan admitted they had very little funds when moving in so had to do up their home with DIY projects.
The pair decided to get their hands dirty and work their way through their new home with DIY improvements.
The couple recently turned their dull dining room into a Moroccan paradise.
Danielle said: “It is the day the dining room finally got smack over a make over its moment right I’m just so excited to see how it comes together.”
The pair opted for floor tiles from Shein which Danielle admitted she was apprehensive about.
Danielle said: “These ones are nowhere near the quality of the bathroom ones or the kitchen ones so I’m slightly nervous at how long they’re going to last and how they’re going to go down.”
Danielle planned to paint one of the dining room walls in a dusty rose pink using a £10 tiny of paint from Wickes.
She also purchased some smaller paint pots to paint some Moroccan style patterns.
Despite her reservations Danielle was very pleased with how her dining room makeover turned out.
Once they had finished painting and laying the tiles down the pair added Moroccan inspired decoration.
This included a rug, plants, mirrors and some art prints as well as a new lamp shade.

She said: “I’m just about to put these mirrors up, these are just three little Moroccan-y style mirrors from the range. they’re like £12 or something so cheap
“We feel like they’re gonna look really good on the pink wall. Look at the pink pink wall just look at it, it’s such a gorgeous colour it really is and it all just ties in so nicely,” she added.
She said: “The rug is incredible. This was just from Amazon. It was not even expensive at all. We were really trying to find a budget-friendly rug because there is no budget anymore.”
The pair continued with their dining table which featured a decorative cloth and some quirky chairs.
Daniels said: “The chairs, the little funky chairs, are from Argos.”
She continued: “Candles, coloured candles from Flying Tiger these, little candle holders are from Primark. Then the table runner, the table mats and coasters are all from Shein, this little bowl from TK Maxx and then the fruit bowl underneath which was from Sainsbury’s.”
Despite being pleased with her work Danielle said she was looking forward to adding more to the dining room once the budget allowed it.
She said: “I can’t wait to add more to it because that was looking too playful, yeah now it looks too plain compared to the rest of the room.”
