Hilarious moment stag party shuts groom-to-be in overhead locker of Ryanair flight back from Ibiza
STAG weekend pranksters have managed to stuff a bridegroom-to-be into an overhead locker on their flight back from party island Ibiza.
The gang got their hapless and sleeping pal into the compartment above seats on their Ryanair journey back from the Spanish resort.
The jape was revealed in a TikTok video posted by Australian music producer Dominic Matheson which has gone viral and now been watched more than half a million times online.
The footage showed the stag’s head poking out of the overhead locker, before the victim – who appears to be wearing an Arsenal shirt – cracks up laughing as his friends haul him back out.
The music producer sharing the video wrote: “One minute you’re at the club in Ibiza, the next you wake up in the Ryanair overhead carriage.
“40 dudes at the back of the plane were having a TIME. They pushed their mate in there as the plane landed.”
The clip was enjoyed by many – though there was a thirst for more information, with one person responding: “I need to know everything about this story immediately.”
Another remarked, “I need to try this immediately” – while the revellers were also told: “Respect for getting on the flight.”
Previous stag party pranks include a gang tricking their mate, on a trip to Madrid, into thinking he had won £100,000 on a scratchcard.
In a nod to age-old stag party tradition, another groom found himself tied semi-naked to a lamp-post in Basildon, Essex.
A 6ft 4in groom-to-be was set up by his mates to accompany child mascots on to the pitch for a Blackpool football match against Bradford City.
And another was left with a 26-hour, four-flight solo trip home from another Spanish resort Marbella – where his friends had initially dressed him up in drag like Queen singer Freddie Mercury in the band’s 1984 “I Want To Break Free” video.
Not everyone sees the funny side of stag weekends, however – with calls for partying Brits to stay away from cities such as Amsterdam in the Netherlands as well as Spain’s Costa del Sol.
Hen parties for women have also been condemned closer to home, in popular northern England destination York.
