First Lotus Emira GT4 Customer Deliveries Imminent
The new-for-2023 Lotus Emira GT4 is set to be delivered to its first batch of customers over the summer.
Lotus’ new challenger has been homologated and is ready for competition. The company says it already has orders from the UK, continental Europe, China, Australia and the USA.
Following a development programme in collaboration with RML, the Emira GT4 is set to feature more power and an optimised aero package. The car is set to feature a 10 per cent power increase to 455 bhp, a new six-speed paddleshift sequential gearbox, enhanced aerodynamics and improved springs, damping, cooling and braking.
The Emira GT4 has been homologated for competition in global GT4 classes but is also eligible for other non-homologated and specialist race series around the world.
“The Emira road car was such an excellent starting point for a GT4, and we’ve now further refined and tuned the package with the team at RML to create what we believe is a highly competitive and performance-oriented race car,” said ex-British GT driver Gavan Kershaw, who is currently Lotus’ director of vehicle attributes.
“We know our customers are keen to get behind the wheel and we’re looking forward to seeing their results.”
All Emira GT4 customer cars are being hand-built by the RML team at a dedicated new production facility at Wellingborough, UK. Lotus has not put a limit on the number of cars it will build and has revealed that it is priced at £179,000 plus taxes and delivery.
The Emira GT4 will be displayed publicly this weekend at the British GT Championship’s meeting at Snetterton.
