Reports: Coalition negotiators close to deal on cutting earnings-related unemployment allowance

THE FOUR PARTIES drafting the next government programme have reached a provisional agreement on overhauling the earnings-related unemployment allowance scheme, report YLE and Helsingin Sanomat.

YLE on Tuesday reported that the parties are set to both cut and stagger the allowance without reducing the maximum eligibility period.
