I’m a parenting expert & an easy way to clean your kids’ teeth without having to battle with toothbrush and paste
ANY parent will know getting your kids to brush their teeth can be a bit of a struggle.
Most of the time you have to wait till your child has developed some mobility skills before you can start developing a routine.
Parent’s often limit their children’s sugar intake to limit changes of cavities developing early.
But it’s critical to keep your children’s teeth clean as they can decay faster than adult teeth.
That’s why dentists advise you to start brushing your child’s teeth as soon as they come through.
But if you’re looking for a way to keep your child’s teeth clean without the toothbrush battle there might be another way.
Parenting experts have shared an easy trick in an online podcast.
The Twinning It Podcast hosted by twin mums Jenna Good and Alison Perry.
In their latest episode the mums invited weaning expert Annabel Karmel to talk all things babies and food.
The weaning expert advises you ditch the apples because they’re doing nothing for your child’s teeth.
“We were given apples to clean our teeth but that’s the wrong thing to do,” they said.
The parenting expert says the easy hack is having your child chew on a piece of cheese.

Anna says the cheese will help neutralise any acid food your child has eaten.
She said: “The best thing to give children, if you don’t have a toothbrush handy, is to give them cheese as it will alkaline the acid.
Claiming it’s a method commonly used by the French.
“That’s why the French are very clever; they eat cheese after a meal.”
“In fact if your child has an orange the worst thing you can do is brush their teeth as it will just move around the acid, give them a piece of cheese!”
Of course you should still brush your child’s teeth when you can with fluoride toothpaste.
