Had a bit of everything as a midfield player, could tackle, great long range passer of the ball, eye for goal. Lacked pace but read the game well. Definitely had a nasty streak. Some of his tackles were horrendous. Someone once told me that to make it in the pro game you had to be prepared to walk over your own grandmother. I think Souness would have done that and still left a foot in! Like him as a pundit and upmost respect for what he’s done today.
