George Ezra returns to the stage for ‘electric’ performance after acute vertigo battle
SINGER George Ezra returned to the stage to deliver an “electric” gig for fans following his health battle.
The 30-year-old, from Hertfordshire, performed at Bedford Park in front of an adoring crowd.
In March this year, George fell “incredibly unwell” and was forced to pull out of a show at London’s O2 having been diagnosed with acute vertigo.
Since his return, the singer-songwriter has gone from strength to strength as he tours the UK with his biggest hits including Green Green Grass, Shotgun and Budapest.
Last night George performed in front of 15,000 fans at Bedford Park Concerts’ penultimate show, having welcomed Sting, The Jacksons, Sister Sledge and Scooter over the last two weekends.
Bedford’s very own Tom Grennan headlined last year – following in the footsteps of Olly Murs, Billy Ocean, Jess Glynn and Tom Jones in recent years.
Local radio presenter Roberto Perrone said of the evening: “Loved watching George Ezra in Bedford Park. Fantastic night in the park.
“We all sang along to everything! Bedford Park Concerts know how to put on a show.”
Another said: “Always shining and always smiling for George Ezra and always will be. Atmosphere was great and George was amazing. Still buzzing and haven’t stopped singing all day.”
Someone else added: “I will never get bored of seeing George Ezra. Fab night at Bedford Park.”
A fan added: “It was an electric performance.”
George famously sang his hit song Green Green Grass at Platinum Party at the Palace last year.
Thousands of people turned out to the spectacular event outside Buckingham Palace to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
