I love charity shops & got £130 of stuff for £15 including a brand new PLT dress – my top places to visit for bargains
A PRO secondhand shopper has revealed one of her best charity shop hauls yet, after managing to nab more than £130 worth of stuff for just £15.
Caroline is used to hunting through the rails of her local secondhand shops in Norfolk.
But she was stunned when she found a brand new PrettyLittleThing dress on sale for £3 and a pair of on-trend cargos for less than a fiver.
Now people are calling for her to share her tips, after saving herself more than £115 on this shopping trip alone.
She said: “Boy oh boy, have I got a good charity shop haul for you today.
“I have got all these items. They are brand new with the tags still on.
“I’m gonna say they’re about £130 worth of stuff, and I got it all for £15.
“So let me show you.”
“First off I got this lovely lightweight 100 per cent cotton robe.
“Now it’s from a brand called Caro London.
“And as I say, it’s brand new with the tag still on it… now apparently, I haven’t heard of the make before but it’s a small design company and they aim to produce quality items without compromising on workers’ condition.
“So that makes it even better for me.
“And it was from the EACH charity shop and it was only £5.
“Now I looked on the Caro London website and ones pretty much the same as this were selling for about £50 or £60 so I was well chuffed with this.”
The keen bargain hunter also managed to bag a pair of on-trend cargo trousers for less than £4.
She continued: “Next I have these combat trousers, grey ones, again brand new with tags.
“Pantalone. I haven’t heard of them before but these were only £3.50 from PACT.”
Although she was most impressed by the Culture Fashon round-neck cardigan she managed to pick up for £4.
“This may well be one of my favourite purchases for a while.
“It’s a Culture, with again the tag still on, and the tag says £34.95.
“I got this from packed for £4.
“Now it’s a grey cardigan. I love the fact it’s got stars on the elbows and also, I thought this is a very cute little touch, on the back there’s a little star metal motif as well.
“It is so soft, it feels so soft, but yeah I was really happy with this.”
Caroline also managed to bag a brand new PrettyLittleThing dress for less than half its original price – but was sadly disappointed by the way it fit.
She added: “Finally this off-the-shoulder white PrettyLittleThing dress.
“Again, brand new with the tag still on, and it was only £3 from the Priscilla Bacon Hospice charity shop.
“Regretfully this dress is a size 6 so it’s a little bit snug and I can’t quite get in it.”
Fans loved her bargain finds, with the haul gaining more than 290 likes and 4,300 views.
