Fans fume over huge BBC iPlayer blunder on first day of Wimbledon as they ask ‘is Elon Musk running coverage?’
FANS were left fuming on the first day of Wimbledon as BBC’s coverage got off to an unimpressive start.
Seven-time champion Novak Djokovic was forced to play second fiddle to the weather with the opening three games of his match with Pedro Cachin missed on BBC One and BBC Two.
And there appeared to be no way to watch the start of the Serb’s match on iPlayer either with fans reporting that the BBC service was down.
One tweeted: “Is Elon Musk running the iplayer Wimbledon coverage or…”
The same fan then wrote: “Thought I’d watch some tennis before my nights start but not a single stream working.”
Another fan tweeted: “BBC iPlayer don’t want me to watch Djokovic.”
Croatian tennis star Donna Vekic joined the legions of fuming fans as she tweeted: “iPlayer ????? I need options !!”
