UCF continues recruiting windfall with commitments of 4-stars from Georgia
UCF remains red-hot on the recruiting trail, receiving verbal commitments from two 4-stars out of Georgia.
Safety Jakob Gude became the 11th commitment for the Knights’ 2024 recruiting class when he pledged to the school Thursday night on Instagram. He’s the fifth 4-star to commit to the class and the fourth player out of a high school from Georgia.
Quarterback EJ Colson became the second commitment for the 2025 class, announcing his decision on Instagram. The Knights have signed a quarterback in each of the last five recruiting classes (2019-23) and have a commitment from right-handed Riley Trujillo for 2024.
All verbal commitments are non-binding but can become official during the early signing period in December.
Gude recorded 52 tackles with 5 for loss over the past two seasons at Langston Hughes High. He had 3 sacks, an interception and 4 passes defended.
The 5-foot-11 Gude is the 416th-ranked player in the country, according to 247Sports, and the 39th overall safety. He becomes the second defensive back to join the class, along with Sanford Seminole High’s Chasen Johnson.

He joins 4-star running back Taevion Swint as a commitment for the 2025 class.
UCF also has received commitments from safety Jashad Presley, offensive lineman Waltclaire Flynn Jr., linebacker Qua Birdsong and tight end Kylan Fox since last week.
