What’s Our Ceiling / Potential? (34 replies)

In terms of potential, does this club actually have any? Genuine question. We’ve always been called a ‘Sleeping Giant’ but surely that’s nonsense in 2023. Maybe it was true in 92/93 when Sullivan and Gold took over but not now. We didn’t progress and evolve.

We might have a floating support (like lots of others) but loads don’t bother going, and even in the latter Prem years we couldn’t sell the ground out. Our promotion seasons in 06/07 and 08/09 where we won lots of matches we barely hit above 25,000 if at all. Why?

Have we finally hit our level of been a smaller 2nd tier club that can’t justify any kind of rebuild or a new stadium until we actually fill the one we have now? Looking at the Championship in terms of size we are near the bottom now.

Not a Wind Up, just serious when you see other clubs getting larger attendances and season ticket sales and we just amble on year in year out. No growth, no interest, nothing.

What’s going on here? Can Knighthead be the ownership that turn it round and get people interested in going on a regular basis?
