Sue Radford pays tribute to her ‘missing heartbeat’ as she marks son Alfie’s ninth heavenly birthday
SUE Radford has paid a heartbreaking tribute to son Alfie, while marking his ninth heavenly birthday.
Sue and husband Noel’s 17th child was tragically still born on July 6, 2014.
During their three-month scan, a day after the family had announced Sue was pregnant, the doctor was unable to find their baby boy’s heartbeat.
In a post on Instagram, Sue shared a picture of Alfie’s grave, adorned with flowers and teddy bears, as she wrote: “Happy heavenly birthday to Alfie.
“Nine years ago you entered this world silent but so perfect in every way.
“We miss you so much and often wonder who you would have been like and what you would have loved doing.
“You’ll always be our missing heartbeat Alfie, our beautiful boy.”
The gravestone bears the moving message: “It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone.
“For a part of us went with you the day God called up to heaven.”
Mum-of-22 Sue always finds ways to pay tribute to Alfie when she’s away with her family.
During the clan’s recent trip to Florida, they wrote “Alfie” in the sand, alongside two hearts, as they remembered the little boy.
Sue also has two tattoos to commemorate Alfie, so he “walks with me wherever I go”.
She previously told fans: “So I’ve had lots of messages and comments asking me what the tattoo is on my hand.
“So thought I’d put a post up to show you – the hand tattoo is Alfie’s handprints and I’ve also got his footprints on my foot.
“I love that I can always see his little hand prints on my hand and that his little feet always walk with me wherever I go”.
