I snap up storage lockers for 79p & rummage through to find treasure, I’ve made thousands looking through people’s trash
A SAVVY man has revealed how he makes thousands rummaging through people’s long-lost possessions.
Jack, from the US, regularly buys abandoned storage lockers in the hopes to find treasures he can sell.
In one TikTok clip, the man revealed he bagged a locker for just 79p ($1) and found heaps of rare records worth thousands.
He penned: “Paid a dollar for this unit, rare rap vinyl collection found!”
As he made his way through the mass of boxes, Jack spotted records from Ruthless Records, DMC, and Will Smith.
Stunned by the find, he said: “Oh, dang. what is this?
“I think that’s $1,000 in records.”
Not only has he found vintage records, but the thrifting whizz has also found collectible models worth thousands as well as vintage Game Boys worth hundreds of pounds.
Jack then goes on to sell his finds online or selling at flea markets.
Although Jack has made big bucks thanks to his hobby, which he calls ‘real life storage wars’ in the bio of his account – it does come with a risk.
Most of the time Jack has no idea what is hidden in the lockers so it’s a total gamble as to whether he will find treasure to sell or total rubbish.
His videos posted to his account @lockernuts have garnered over 120k likes on the video-sharing app.
People were stunned by his finds and couldn’t believe how much some of them could sell for.
One person wrote: “Killer find! Just started this year but no records yet.”
Another commented: “All I see is money.”
“Make that money,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “Sorry for someone’s lose, happy for your find.”
“woooow,” claimed a fifth.
