PRIME Day is back, and this year it’s taking place across July 11 and 12.

Amazon’s big sale event for members is always a great opportunity to pick up bargains – here we’ll be picking out the best deals to look out for.

Amazon Prime Day 2023 – live deals

Amazon Prime Day doesn’t officially launch until midnight July 11, and it will end at one minute to midnight on July 12.

How to take part in Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day deals are only available for Amazon Prime members.

If you have never signed up for Prime, you can make the most of the 30-day free trial.

This will give you access to the sale deals during Prime Day, with the same perks as normal members.

Simply sign up here on the Amazon website. Just remember to cancel your membership after the trial is up to avoid paying the £8.99 a month/£95 a year fee.

Where to find the best Amazon Prime Day 2023 deals

The best place to find all the latest deals as they are launched is by heading to the Amazon Prime Day hub.

From there you will be able to filter through the categories that interest you.

Amazon also recommend using their Watch List to spot any lightning deals that are only available for a limited time.

Shoppers can also download the Amazon app, set up deal alerts with Alexa devices, and sign up to the retailer’s newsletters to stay in the loop.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2023?

Amazon Prime Day is usually in July. In 2023, it’s taking place on July 11 and 12.

But this hasn’t always been the case. Last year, Amazon made a shock announcement to launch an Early Prime Day sale in October.

This means Prime members got even more opportunities to shop exclusive deals, on everything from home essentials to beauty and fashion.

Over the last few years – due to the pandemic and stock shortages – Prime Day has also moved around.

In 2021 it took place in June, while in 2020, due to the pandemic, Prime Day took place at a much later date in October.

What deals to expect for Amazon Prime Day 2023

Deal-hunters will have two days to scout out the very best offers from Amazon.

The company has already announced that there will be big savings on brands including Samsung, Shark, Levi’s, Oral-B, Tefal and more.

You’ll also be able to snap up bargains from small businesses and artisan makers.

Previously the most popular categories with the biggest savings have been tech, gaming, Amazon own-brand devices, alcohol and beauty.

For instance, in July we saw Shark’s upright vacuum cleaner price cut to £183.99, saving shoppers a whopping £196 off.

There have also been some massive price cuts across Amazon devices.

It’s also worth looking out for great value bundle deals on Amazon devices too while the sale is on to maximise your savings.

This year, Amazon will also be launching Prime Experiences on Prime Day, where you’ll get a unique experience alongside a product.

One lucky person will also be able to travel to Australia thanks to Amazon, with a visit to the Neighbours set included.

Amazon Prime Day 2023 shopping tips

If you are planning to take part in Prime Day this year, it is always advisable to prep in advance so your shopping experience is as enjoyable as possible.

1. Make the most of Amazon’s wish list function. It allows you to create a full of all the products you’d like to buy, and you can easily refer to it during the event to check what’s been discounted.
2. Always shop around and compare prices online to ensure you really are getting the best deal available.
3. Use sites like CamelCamelCamel and Pricey Spy to look at price fluctuations throughout the year. They are great tools for shoppers to check if the discount on a particular item is really worth it.
4. Download the Amazon app, from there you can set up deal alerts and check prices on coveted items quickly.
5. Plan ahead and decide what products you’ll be looking for during the sale, you can bookmark pages to make it easy to find them when Prime Day kicks off.

Can students take part in Prime Day?

Students can take part in Prime Day if they have an Amazon Prime membership.

Students can take advantage of the Amazon Student subscription, which has a reduced monthly cost of just £3.99, or £39 a year.

How to cancel your Amazon Prime 30-day free trial after Prime Day?

If you’ve signed up for an Amazon Prime trial to take part in the Prime Day event, you’ll need to cancel the service before the 30 days expire or you will be charged the reoccurring monthly fee.

TIt’s easy to cancel your subscription if you wish, simply sign into your Amazon account and head to “Manage Your Prime Membership”.

From there select click “Cancel free trial” on the left-hand side of the page if you want to cancel right away.
