Woman shares clever hack to get rid of flies – and all you need is a quick visit to Hobbycraft
WITH summer now here, there are plenty of bugs and flies also out in full swing.
As much as it’s nice to see nature bloom – many of us don’t want it in our homes.
And one woman has revealed a savvy hack to stop flies and other critters from coming into the home.
And the best part?
While most of us will be keeping our windows closed to ensure no bugs come in, the clever woman has found a hack so she can keep them open.
Taking to Facebook, she revealed she got her savvy idea when she saw white netting in Hobbycraft.
She wrote: “Fed up with the amount of beasties in my house with the windows open.
“I popped to Hobbycraft, picked up some white netting, and with command strips I have, put the netting up over the window which has eliminated a lot of the beasties.
“Just a hack for someone else if you get as annoyed as me.”
And it seemed lots of people were keen on the idea as dozens liked the post.
You can purchase the white netting from Hobbycraft for just £4.30 for 15×23 metres, enough to cover most of your windows.
For more tips on keeping bugs from ruining your summer, one pest control expert revealed how to stop them from coming into the swimming pool.
And essential oils are perfect for deterring them.
While experts do not recommend putting essential oils directly into your pool, you should keep a diffuser nearby or spray your home and patio to repel insects.
Use cinnamon essential oils if you have a problem with ants or earwigs.
For spiders, mosquitos and cockroaches, peppermint is your best bet.
If you want to get rid of centipedes, vanilla and tea tree oil is what the experts suggest.
And finally for flies, lemongrass should do the trick.
