Police in Worcester, Massachusetts say they're trying to establish contact with a man who barricaded himself inside a home after shooting two of his family members and then firing at police who tried to arrest him. The relatives managed to get away and were taken to a hospital with injuries that aren't life-threatening. None of the officers were struck. It began just before 9 a.m. on Friday. Police say hostage negotiators and a mental health clinician are at the scene, and the shooter is the only person inside. Police are asking the public to avoid the area until the situation is resolved.
